Braless

Bra shopping. Again. The girls need help. Both of the dresses I purchased on ebay will only work with the proper bra. I'm desperate.

When I went bra shopping with friend Teresa a few months back, I learned that I am a 32DD. It was hard enough to find 34DD's before I was enlightened about my true size. Now, it's just ridiculous.

A few ladies in my life have tried to console me by saying sweet, positive things like, "That sounds ideal...to have a little body and big boobs." Nice try. But wrong. It's awful.

Perhaps I wouldn't mind so much if I were properly balanced. I'm not. I have a short torso and narrow shoulders. If I were to wear a "regular" bra, I would look all boob from the waist up. Not acceptable.

2 years ago I found minimizer bras at Target in size 34DD on clearance (light from heaven, angels singing). They were ugly then and they're even uglier now, but they get the job done right. The only problem is the seams. I don't like visible seams on any undergarments, it limits what can be worn over, and I don't like limitations. So I search. And search. And search for the one bra that will hold 'em in, hold 'em up, and look smoooooth. Does it exist? Some say yes, but I have my doubts. I fear that I'm asking too much from a simple bra. Oh that the fabric wouldn't pull and oxfords would button properly!

You better believe that if these girls don't shrink after children (fingers crossed), that I'll be buyin' me some different ones. They'll be a sensible C and they will be beautifully perky.

Can you buy bras in cute colors and patterns with darling matching panties? Do your shirts button without gaping? If so, be ye grateful. Tis a luxury some will never experience.

I need to go bra shopping. I also hate seams. My body by Victoria died a few weeks ago and I've been Hanes-ing it up. It isn't the same. I am not as [well] endowed as you are, by any means [34B], but I still have problems, myself. Speaking of, I went to TJMaxx last week and tried on my size...and my boobs didn't fit! It was so weird. I was like, I'm OUTTA HERE!

I'm sorry for your luck. But I wish you the best on your search!

I wish you the best on your bar hunt. Just going braless would make it more easier, haha

Jill, I am right there with you. I'm a 34D, sort of. Nothing has ever fit correctly. I've got spillover going on. And the stretching makes it too big after just two months. Which makes me think I might be a 32, but you're right - finding a 32D is impossible. I've recently starting looking for 32DD and it's extra impossible! Ugh!

I'm about ready to go to an actual bra shop and spend way too much for something that MIGHT finally work. I'll keep you posted.

Aw friend! I feel your pain! I was a 32DDD when I was a teenager. It was HORRIBLE. I lost some weight in my early twenties and then became a 28E. Even worse! I was pleasantly surprised when having a baby/nursing helped to deflate them and I now wear a more normal size of 32DD or a 30E. Unfortunately, I can only buy bras at Figleaves.com or Barenecessities.com. If you find the ideal bra in a 32DD, please pass the link along so I can try it out too!

Girls I feel you pain. I too am a 32DD verging on a 32DDD!! Pregnancy has only made this problem worse. As with anything in life perfection is unattainable! You just have to decide what your willing to compromise on. For me quality was not something I was willing to compromise on! The good news is as long as your willing to invest the perfect bra is out there. I will only go to Nordstroms because they have a HUGE selection in our size!! I end up paying anywhere from $40-$80 per bra depending on the style and brand but they last FOREVER! I have been so happy with them and it has solved so many problems by just wearing the correct size such as back pain and clothes fitting properly! YAY! :-) Good luck hunting girls!

I need to check out Nordstrom's within the next week or so. If any of you MN ladies are game, give me a call.

Jill, that is a REALLY good question. I suspect that I take after the Conroys and you take after the Melanders...what else could it be? LOL!! Tell me if Nordstroms pans out!

Good bras are super hard to find. I am a die hard victorias secret bra lover. I always try to buy a cheaper bra somewhere else but they never as a good. I think their bras are worth every penny. The ipex ones are my favorite.
If you order online then you are guarenteed to find your size- when maybe a store wouldnt have it. I beat the stores would have some though too!
Good Luck!

I can't really say much cos my breasts suit my body but I hate that I can't wear certain styles and look smart. I feel it's the main focus of my body and it sucks. What's worse is noone in my immediate family is this busty.I think you should try Marksandspencer.co.uk. They are in the UK and super fab. I'm a 36D and their minimizer bra is amazing and somewhat sexy. Their strapless bras give good support and all the juicy styles aren't limited to the ladies with less.
Check out their site. Goodlu
