Blog Crush

I'm newly obsessed with Sydney of The Daybrook.  So much so, that I have unashamedly copied her look in this post.  She is adorable. Her husband is adorable (and they gush about each other adorably).  Her style is adorable.  Her writing is adorable.  Her blog. is. adorable.

So there it is.  Now I'm feeling all bashful, exposed and vulnerable because my blog crush is out in the open now.  I wish I could invite all my readers over for a slumber party.  I'd serve gooey chocolate cake and we'd all sit in a circle and take turns revealing who our secret blog crushes are.  We'd giggle so much our faces would hurt and then we'd end the evening braiding each others hair while watching Julie & Julia (only because it's the only blog movie I know of - other suggestions?).

I'm not really a creepy person, I promise.  I just like blogs and like all of you that read mine.  You're good people (I expect).  Please don't contact me about a sleepover, I don't actually have that kind of room (efficiency condo + 2 humans + 1 dog  = no vacancy).  I don't actually like people messing with my hair either (dermatological complex)...but you guys go ahead.

Well, this post began with comedic intentions, but just ended up...weird.  I suppose it's just that kind of day.

I think we all have a blog crush whose style we admire.

Your take on this look is great, and I love the polka dot cardigan.

I love the denim looking shirt with a cardigan over it! That is a great idea. I may have to copy that myself! ( I suppose that makes you my blog crush!)

Such cuteness! And that bag is a heck of a find, lady.

I agree with Sal- that bag is a heck of a find indeed!

I totally get what you are saying too. I admire the style of many of the gals who style blog and they are constant inspiration for me!

You, included! :)

Wouldn't it be cool if there was a blog conference JUST for style bloggers?

ooooh! I'm just squealing over here!! You pulled off this look beautifully! Actually way better than I did cause the belt ties it all together perfectly. I love it! P.S. I need that bag.
I agree with you. Wouldn't a sleepover be so fun?! Totally necessary in my opinion.

That bag is gorgeous!!

I've never actually liked sleepovers. I was always that weird girl who wanted to go to bed at a decent hour so I would be well-rested for the next day. :)

I often think things in my head that are Hilarious, but then in writing they just seem, well weird. So I get it.
And I know exactly the outfit you've been inspired by, because that look is in fact in my inspiration folder as well...

First off, I think you and I have the same blog crush... I love The Daybook too! She is adorable, and I love how you turned her outfit into your own inspiration. I want a striped skirt like that; I can't believe you got yours as a dress from Wal-mart! Who knew?!?
