Falling for Vintage

This is my go-to fall skirt.  I don't think an autumn has passed in the 9ish years since I picked it out of a free bag that I haven't worn it with a fitted, gray sweater and tall, brown boots.  I thought I'd mix it up this year - gray sweater vest + brown booties (what a stretch, huh?).

It's also one of the longest skirts I own.  I've considered hemming it, but haven't for fear it wouldn't look as vintagey.  Below-the-knee skirts are back 'in' this season, which doesn't mean I'm going to invest in a bunch of new skirts, but does make me extra glad I kept this one at it's original length.  Yeh for me and my "trendy" skirt.

Speaking of vintage, I will be attending Cat's Pajama's Vintage Clothing and Jewelry Show at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds tomorrow night!  I can't wait!  Just hoping that the vintage dress I purchased at Mighty Swell Vintage Pop-up Shop fits me properly, because I really want to wear it tomorrow.  Really really.

I can't get enough of this fall weather.  I love the sunshine, the colors, and crunch beneath my feet.

That skirt is really cute. I would leave it long, since it makes it warmer for fall.

I adore this skirt!!! You look straight out of the pages of a back to school catalog. I love the shot of your legs and bag on the bench! So cute! Really wishing I could join you tomorrow... hope you have a blast!

I'm glad you didn't hem it, too. This skirt looks awesome on you! I'm not brave enough to wear knee socks, but I wish I was, because you look incredible!

Also, I'm super jealous of your Minnesota weather. The only leaves we have are green and on the trees, still. BOO (and not the Halloween kind!).

Great look today. I love that you have had it for so long. What's old is new again!

Love the colour mix :)

Love the skirt lengths available in the shops this year. One fine day I'll learn to stockpile when what 's "in" matches my likes. If only I wasn't always broke on these rare occasions ;)

Wow, you look incredible in this outfit! I really love that skirt especially with the socks. I'm terrified to try wearing socks but you look great.

What a great skirt! Don't you love it when your "old" stuff becomes "in" again--that's why I'm so hesitant to get rid of anything! Anyway, I love this vintage-y, fall look!

I love the vest, oxfords and knee socks. I'm still pulling together my fall wardrobe, but hoping I can put an outfit (or two) like this together. Thanks for all of your inspiration!
