Copycat: Fossilized

Look at me!  I'm Quasimodo's kid sister!  Ignore the pose, look at the clothes.  Hey, that rhymed.

No offense to Mr. (or Mrs.?) Fossil here, but my I like my outfit better.  I was really excited about copycatting this one because 1) it isn't from Esprit - holla!, 2) it's so pretty and delicate, which is different for me, and 3) I moved the buttons over on the waistband of these jeans so they'd fit better - new favorite jeans that didn't cost a dime!

So, what else is new?  Well...tonight Lori of Girly Muse and I will be attending a Blogger Preview Night of Ordway's upcoming production of Wuthering Heights.  Super cool, right!?  I'm excited for yet another opportunity to meet other local bloggers like Sara of Bombshell Beauty!

Lots of other great events coming up!  Voltage is TOMORROW and A Mighty Swell boutique is just a couple weekends away!  Don't miss out!

WIN! This is amazing, Jill! I definitely like yours better and HOW did you move buttons on your jeans? Teach me. I need to do that, stat. I love the strings of pearls you added to your version, too! SO feminine!

Hey Kimberly!

Yeah...so these jeans were about a size too big...and stretchy. They'd fit after I washed and dried them, but then a few hours later they'd be saggin'. They have a large, tab-front (correct term?) closure with big buttons. There is a zipper too, but it's pretty short. I just removed the buttons, and moved them out about an inch or so...pretty tight to accomodate the mid-day stretch :). It creates some gaping with the zipper, but nothing that anyone would notice. Kind of hard to explain, but hopefully that makes some sense.

Have a lovely day, friend!

Jill

The more I see lace the more I love it. And you've done a great job of styling with the flower and the pearls. So pretty.
