Thank goodness fall is on it's way. Summer clothing is not my thing. And if I see one more sheer, chiffony, strappy (or strapless), shapeless, impractical shirt...I might just dial up Mark Jacobs - or Anna Wintour - or Mary Kate Olson - or whoever the heck determines what is "trendy" and tell them to please, just stop it. Keep the prints, loose the silhouettes. I do not need another dolman or bat-wing sleeve in my closet. Maybe for the rest of my life. Amen.
What I DO want is an animal motif sweater in a fun color. The animal should be a Pug, naturally. Less than $100, please.
What I DO want are more polka dots. More chartreuse green, whether or not it looks good on me. More structured shirts that accommodate narrow shoulders AND boobs. More washable, snag-proof fabrics. It's a tall order, I know.
So while the fashion moguls come up with tops that don't make me want to pitch a fit, I will invest in denim. I continue to embrace color. Printed denim is even more fun. I applaud skinny jeans, boyfriend jeans, and their delightful offspring = the skinny boyfriend. Keep up the good work here, people.

Ya, strappy is not cool at all. Another fashion look I have a problem with is when everything looks like a maternity top... nothing but smocked, tie in the back, way too cutesie for a 50 something year old girl. It's as though some styles are forced upon us because every store you walk into has the same style. I tend to turn around and walk out. ick.
You look fab as always!
Here, here!!
