Sun vs. Shade

Hat, Shirt, Skirt:  Hot Mama
Shoes:  Madden Girl, gifted (thanks, E!)

No need to adjust the color setting on your computer.  I am indeed sunburned.  And I mostly like it.  I treat the rare occasion to get a sunburn as a kind of special honor.  Once a year is about all I require.  Now that I have a sunny backyard with a reclining lawn chair, I may have to consider sunscreen.  Light, loose, breathable clothing is the next best thing to nudity in these circumstances.

Ollie, on the other hand paw, only concerns himself with sun vs. shade, and reminding the humans to put his water dish outside.  He also wants you to know that he enjoys puppy play dates, fetching frisbees, and gnawing on random vegetation.

Summer TV

Necklace:  Francesca's
Tee:  Gap
Bracelet, Vest, Jeans:  Hot Mama
Shoes:  Mrkt via DSW
I may find plenty of time to blog while Steve is on his Game of Thrones kick.  First the books, now the HBO series.  I wasn't interested to begin with and it lost me completely when I had to shield my sensitive eyes several times in the first few minutes.  I don't care how good the story or characters are...seriously, gross.

We have finally started watching Big Bang Theory.  Now that's good stuff.  Not sure why it took us so long.  Count me in for those reruns.

Ollie's pal Duncan is staying with us for a few days while his family is on vacation.
Just when I thought my life couldn't get any cuter...

Stickin'

Scarf, Sweater, Shorts: Hot Mama
Boots:  DSW

Hey hey.  Here I am.  Alive and well.  This last outfit picture taken May 5, in case you're wondering.  It's not that I haven't been getting dressed every day.  I've just been really distracted.  For example:

1.  This time-sucking furbaby.  Seriously, it's a good thing I work hard so I can justify the sloth I've become at home due to this snuggle-pug.  I intend to sit on the couch for 2 minutes, Oliver snuggles up in my lap, and those 2 minutes become 2, 4, 6 hours.  Nothing gets done.  And I am disturbingly fine with it.

2.  Being a career stylist.  It's like that saying about the shoemakers children always go barefoot.  Ever since I started dressing other people, my own wardrobe has seemed a little less exciting.  But I'm coming back around.  And I'm pretty darn excited about it.  Who says I can't have my style and dress other people too?

3.  Reading books instead of blogs.  How dare I.  I know I could finish The Hunger Games in about a day, but since I've already seen the movie and know what happens, I'm taking my jolly ol' time.  I'm proud to have finished a few good books lately.  Probably due to all that couch time with the dog.

Stick with me, friends.  I miss the blog world too much to give it up.  This post-pace is bound to pick up eventually.  Yeah, yeah.  I've said all this before.
