Come to an exclusive screening of the 2014 EMMY award-winning documentary The Pink Room, followed by a private shopping event featuring vendors engaged in the fight against human trafficking.
The Pink Room follows the story of Mien and other young girls who are survivors of the child sex trafficking industry. Mien was raised in Svay Pak, which is a few miles from Phnom Penh, Cambodia. This region has been notorious for child sex trafficking, and it's "sex tourism" business which exploits children as young as three and four for sex. This film addresses fighting the challenges of human trafficking via "rescue, restoration, reintegration and prevention," and the unique and creative model AIM has implemented that has changed an entire community.
Seating is limited. Tickets are $10 - click here to purchase. Proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to AIM.
This event is part of Trafficking Justice's Freedom Weekend.
